How much did Obama's trip to his birthplace of Indonesia cost?

How much did Obama's trip to his birthplace of Indonesia cost?
As a right-wing conservative, I'd like to start another rumor about Obama. He's in Indonesia now, which we all know to be his homeland. What cost can I make up about his trip? I'll say it cost somewhere around 800 Billion Dollars a day. And Obama was escorted by an armada of 400 warships, 200 aircraft, 50 tanks, 10,000 Marines, and 1,000 Navy SEALs. Also escorting him was Starship Enterprise piloted by Captain Kirk, Captain Jack Sparrow, and Captain Crunch. The Nina, Pinta, and Santa Maria provided look-out for Obama, with Doc Brown & Marty McFly in the DeLorean making sure there were no rifts in the spacetime continuum. Alright so this is the part where I react: This is an outrage! 800 BILLION DOLLARS A DAY, with OUR tax money! Escorted by the 45% of the US military! How can we let this SOCIALIST MUSLIM destroy this great nation?! He must HATE America! Folks, this is Marxism at its finest folks. Sharia Law is coming to America. Grab your guns and utilize your 2nd Amendment Rights, because the Apocalypse and Nazi Gas Chambers are coming. And buy gold from Goldline. - The Rightwing Conservative Party 2012: Indonesia and India are not the same place. Wait, are you a fellow Conservative? Nevermind, you're right. They are the same place. The Liberal Media wants us to think they're different but we all know they're all the same. They all hate Freedom.

WAY TOO MUCH!

SO HOW MUCH WILL OBAMA'S INDONESIA TRIP COST? The Press Trust of India reported that Barack Obama's trip to Indonesia will cost $200 Million per day, which would put the overall cost of the trip at right around $1 Billion. The timing of the trip couldn't be worse in light of the recent election results, which were the equivalent of a complete and total rejection of Obama's policies, which include rampant spending. Let's see, the trip includes 40 planes, 34 war ships, 3000 people in tow, rooms at the Taj Mahal, and the construction of an underground tunnel so Obama can safely make his way to Ghandi's museum. I'll ask the question again for real costs

It's almost as if you liberal trolls aren't even trying any more.

Darn...I was looking forward to an expose as to why he hates puppies. Beau is a patsy!!! It's his very naivete that's bringing him down!!! LOL, good one.

The cost associated with American presidents' travel are NOT revealed due to security concerns, but right-wingers like empty-headed Michelle Bachmann tend to ignore this little detail when they spew their disinformation. I'm glad to see you spoofing, in true Stephen Colbert facetious fashion, the wild and even bizarre claims that have been made about pretty much everything our democratically elected President Obama and our First Lady Michelle Obama do. Perhaps this is the most effective way to nip their propaganda-flings in the bud, sorta' like playing poker..."I'll see your alleged [Michelle Bachmann] 34 Navy warships and raise you 364!"..."I'll see your fake $200 million a day in alleged costs and raise you to $1 billion...No! Make that $800 billion"...lol. Effective technique for combatting their tomfoolery, for sure. Modern-day Republican right-wingers are, well...just plain GOOFY...or NUTS in some cases, and adding the teabagging evangelicals into the mix should make watching C-SPAN1 and C-SPAN2 much more interesting in the coming year or two.

Nice try, troll. Go ahead, thumbs me down for outing you.

I can't imagine what it is like to NOT have a life, and sit and dream up dribble. He was born in Hawaii. Since he started running for office, and since he has took office, some people have tried to discount his birth place. Even if he was born in Indonesia or some other country, he is still American via his mother. Donna

Dark Knight and Iron - be fair. He had to start being more and more obvious because your conservative friends couldn't spot the irony and kept agreeing with him

Australian PM Blames Geithner for Directly Messing Up Indonesia.?

Australian PM Blames Geithner for Directly Messing Up Indonesia.?
Obama's economic saviour savaged as Keating lets rip. Australian PM Blames Geithner for Directly Messing Up Indonesia, and Indirectly for Contributing to Housing Boom In a speech to a closed gathering at the Lowy Institute in Sydney on Thursday, Paul Keating gave a starkly different account of Geithner's record in handling the Asian crisis: "Tim Geithner was the Treasury line officer who wrote the IMF [International Monetary Fund] program for Indonesia in 1997-98, which was to apply current account solutions to a capital account crisis." In other words, Geithner fundamentally misdiagnosed the problem. And his misdiagnosis led to a dreadfully wrong prescription. Geithner thought Asia's problem was the same as the ones that had shattered Latin America in the 1980s and Mexico in 1994, a classic current account crisis. In this kind of crisis, the central cause is that the government has run impossibly big debts. The solution? The IMF, the Washington-based emergency lender of last resort, will make loans to keep the country solvent, but on condition the government hacks back its spending. The cure addresses the ailment. But the Asian crisis was completely different. The Asian governments that went to the IMF for emergency loans - Thailand, South Korea and Indonesia - all had sound public finances. The problem was not government debt. It was great tsunamis of hot money in the private capital markets. When the wave rushed out, it left a credit drought behind. But Geithner, through his influence on the IMF, imposed the same cure the IMF had imposed on Latin America and Mexico. It was the wrong cure. Indeed, it only aggravated the problem. Keating continued: "Soeharto's government delivered 21 years of 7 per cent compound growth. It takes a gigantic fool to mess that up. But the IMF messed it up. The end result was the biggest fall in GDP in the 20th century. That dubious distinction went to Indonesia. And, of course, Soeharto lost power." Exactly who was the "gigantic fool"? It was, obviously, the man who wrote the program, Geithner, although Keating is prepared to put the then managing director of the IMF, the Frenchman Michel Camdessus, in the same category. Worse, Keating argued, Geithner's misjudgment had done terminal damage to the credibility of the IMF, with seismic geoeconomic consequences: "The IMF is the gun that can't shoot straight. They've been making a mess of things for the last 20-odd years, and the greatest mess they made was in east Asia in 1997-98, so much so that no east Asian state will put its head in the IMF noose." China, in particular, drew hard conclusions from the IMF's mishandling of the Asian crisis. It decided that it would never allow itself to be dependent on the IMF, or the US, or the West generally, for its international solvency. Instead, it would build the biggest war chest the world had ever seen. How do you send an Xbox overseas?

How do you send an Xbox overseas?
Have you ever sent an Xbox to a foriegn country ? Did it make it there? What about customs& taxes etc? Did you use Federal Express, or the postal service? And will an Xbox made for this region of the world even work in another region, or are they designed to only work in the region they are manufactured for. And will our Xbox games work in an Xbox purchased in Asia. I ask because my brother wants an Xbox in Indonesia. Should I buy it here, or should I just send the money?

Xbox 360 in North America uses NTSC video standard and will only play games from this region unless the game is region-free and the TV supports NTSC Europe uses PAL and Indonesia uses NTSC-J There is also the voltage factor to consider which is 230 Volts in Indonesia I recommend sending the money
