I need some favor from moslem people?

I need some favor from moslem people?
So I am not a moslem, but I have some moslem friends, some of them are very smart people, some of them are my professors and advisors back then when I was an undergrad. So I know that moslems are respectable people, just like the others. But it seems that some ignorance from people in Indonesia had caused great trouble for Indonesian internet users. There was a film in YouTube that enraged the moslem community in Indonesia, and as a result, the minister make an extreme and misguided policy, by blocking the entire YouTube, Google, Rapidshare, etc. And in the process using millions of dollars, while lots of people in Indonesia still live in poverty, and uneducated. I know moslems are people who respect knowledge, who had invented algebra in the past, so if you are willing to help, I will need you to do some favor. Please find some way to persuade your brothers in Indonesia, that blocking these network are not going to do any good, while the money can be used to help the poor, most of which are also your moslem brothers and sister. Muslim Woman Forever : I would advise you to come here to donate it yourself, or the poor people are not going to recieve what you give them. I am serious. Serenity : I am not generalizing people, read what I wrote, you will understand what I want.

The video that caused the problem was that in Saudi Arabia Moslems enslaved some poor indonesian girl as their house slave, she was very dodgily indited for murder when the baby suddenly died but because she was a women she was put to death after the most basic of trials, its not just muslims, it was the haves verses the have nots

Why are you generalising people, all people have faults and errors. jesus was merely a prophet who came to spread the message of peace-of islam. Funny how christians believe Jesus was the one who died for every1's sins maybe then christians should follow in those misinterpreted footsteps and sacrifice themselves for the whole of mankind. Allah hafiz

You are a gentleman as long as no one touches your religion. I do not really understand why should men be intolerant when some one criticises ones religion and questions ones faith. You may accept it or ignore it.

Why factory/manufacturing business tend to make a lot of profits?

Why factory/manufacturing business tend to make a lot of profits?
Everytime I see people around me here in my country (Indonesia), it seems that the wealthy ones are usually the one whom: 1. do business (instead of just “normal jobs”), and also 2. do factory or manufacture kind of business, such as furniture, oil company, coal mining, etc etc. My question is simple one, well, make it two: 1. Why or how come these type of business are always making very large amount of money & profits, and thus make the Owners wealthy, ie: i’m talking about buying three nice cars, a big house, can send their children to study overseas, etc 2. Is this really the only and ONLY way to get the most money (other than playing/investing in stock/financial market) nowadays?? what if let’s say I want to enter a music business (I’m an indie musician/songwriter), won’t I ever able to make as much money and wealth/profits as those type of businesses I’ve mentioned earlier? Please give some general explanations of why this is (or SEEMS to be) often the case. thanks.

Those businesses have a large "development" cost. Building factories, building distribution channels, hiring lots of workers. If you have the huge amount of money needed to do those things, you can get thru the bad times. Then you are in a position to really take advantage of the good times. You can make the big money in music if you get discovered. Or if you open your own entertainment company.

if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?

if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician?
I've just talked with a friend of mine, he had just started to pursue a Solo carer , because he loves music very much, just like me, but unfortunately, and rather sadly, just this afternoon, he poured all his heart that , as I quoted from him, "being musician in indonesia is just f*ckin hard & doesn't make sense! it's just so dirty often, and hard to get recognized, and with piracy running rampant, greedy labels, very low purchasing-power from still-poor people in the mainstream, etc etc" , and he's even thinking of just concentrating in the business-aspect , not the artistic-side anymore in the music "industry". He's planning to just start a label & draw new artists,....instead of following his TRUE passion to become a full-time musician! so then, i start asking myself this: if career as musician is really hard to make money, then why so many people still want to be a musician ?? why? what do you think? do you think these people (musicians) are probably just 'naive' people who don't know that it's a cruel cruel world in a music, no, actually, music-business world. 'cuz often there're more to it than only making good & creative tunes. this i've unfortunately & pitifully learned at least in my corrupt country, Indonesia, where sadly, music is just another corrupt tool. and that's why no wonder a lot of musicians/bands are just poor, & even some really great/talented ones is lacking so much appreciations from mainstream people, instead, many people generally only prefer for 'stupid' songs/music as long with good looks, and many other artificial/fake things! and i'm sure the situation is no different even in advanced countries like U.S, Europe, Japan, etc. blatantly-and-honestly speaking, many people are just plain stupid, don't understand 'good music' from 'bad music' , and most big-players in the so-called "music-business" are all crooked and greedy, all they think is only money, not enhancing/supporting their artists/bands!! and plus, there're just soo many, and damn many competitions in this arena, it's like every week, there are like ten or even twenty bands being born (or more??) ! with all of these sad things above, i've recently often wondered & kept wondering, is there still any point for any person, no matter how talented or even multi-talented or passionate he/she is at music, to pursue career as a musician (and espcially, FULL-time musician) ? are they just out of their mind? but the Reality seems to speak differently: there are surprisingly an increasing amount of musicians (ie: bands, usually "indie" bands)! why is this? what is the reasons for they kept wanting to be a musician?

i only read your question, not your lengthy details... Real musicians don't care about money, they only care about their art.
2 :
I didnt read all that ¬.¬ but its there passion and they enjoy it so why not.
3 :
okay in all honesty i really can't read that much at the moment if i did i think my brain would explode. but to answer your overall question... when you love something you can't give it up and there are people willing to go to the end of the earth to get what they want, and those are the true dreamers, that will do everything and anything to get what they want in the world and those people are the successful ones.
4 :
if people really want to do something than they wont care about money
5 :
The people who truly care with all their heart about music don't care if they make money, they just want to make beautiful music for people to enjoy and some other people are just ignorant and think they can be like the people in the media
6 :
(I did read everything you wrote LOL) I'm actually an average teenager who also wants to become a musician(orchestral) and I do know that the music world/business is really difficult to succeed in. I have talked to my parents and my private music teacher about this and they do support me on the idea that I should become a musician, but they also reminded me that I should have another major in college, like business, and put music as my 2nd choice (something like that). But when I'm asked to what career I want, I still firmly say "musician" because I want to perform music to people to listen and enjoy. I think musicians decided to take this path because they have the passion in their heart (and the talent of course lols). They want to reach out to every-day people and inspire them. To remind them to take a pause in their lives and actually listen to music and enjoy the beauty.

because we LOVE music

Because no matter how ugly or untalented you are, you will get laid as often as you like. It really is that simple. Anyone that says they're in it for "artistic integrity", etc., is full of shit.

It's a Dream. Some people work really hard at it. Some just get lucky and get discovered. You don't have to be famous to be a musician. I rock out by myself at home and find that completely satisfying. If your friend loves music then he should keep playing it and not worry so much about getting rich and famous.

In a lot of cases, loving your job and barely getting by is a whole lot better than hating your job and being successful. Some people just love it enough to have to do it. I've known people like that. For me, I'm content to just rock out with my friends, play live when we can, make records that will never really get any attention, keep it more informal (a hobby that I enjoy a great deal), but I've known people who... well it's just what they do.
