Why blame Bush for the economy?
I doubt many Obama sheep will actually READ this, but it makes one wonder why people buy this stuff then blame Bush for not buying American. So why blame Bush that the economy is tanking? Yes he's the president, but who spends the money in YOUR WALLET? Joe Smith started the day early having set his alarm clock (MADE IN JAPAN) for 6am. While his coffeepot (MADE IN CHINA) was perking, he shaved with his electric razor (MADE IN HONG KONG). He put on a dress shirt (MADE IN SRI LANKA), designer jeans (MADE IN SINGAPORE) and tennis shoes (MADE IN KOREA). After cooking his breakfast in his new electric skillet(MADE IN INDIA) he sat down with his calculator (MADE IN MEXICO) to see how much he could spend today. After setting his watch (MADE IN TAIWAN) to the radio (MADE IN INDIA) he got in his car (MADE IN GERMANY) filled it with GAS from Saudi Arabia and continued his search for a good paying AMERICAN JOB. At the end of yet another discouraging and fruitless day checking his Computer (Made In Malaysia), Joe decided to relax for a while. He put on his sandals (MADE IN BRAZIL) poured himself a glass of wine (MADE IN FRANCE.! .France!!) and turned on his TV(MADE IN INDONESIA), and then wondered why he can't find a good paying job in.. AMERICA,,,

and who sat there in the oval office signing treaties that would diminish jobs done by Americans, lowering tariffs to the Pan Asians and did nothing to prevent illegal low-pay workers to flood over the border in his own state?

Tax hikes and more union strength against corps leads to outsourcing. Doesn't Obama get it?

If the president doesn't bear some responsibility for the health of the economy, then all this frenzy about Obama / McCain tax initiatives, marxist / socialist agendas, and plumber-friendly policies has been an enormous waste of time.

The President should have a sign on his desk "The Buck Stops Here" and I'm not talking about taxes

I sort of agree with this, but what has Bush done to solve this problem? I drive an American car, as does my wife. I buy American when I can, but there are fewer and fewer Ameriocan products to buy now. I may have a computer made in the USA, but am not certain if it is. I blame a lot of this on greedy corporations who are continuing to move factories overseas to make bigger profits. The Republicans do not seem very concerned about this, or are not doing much about it anywayl.

Well done. That makes it simple enough for anyone to understand .Didn't Bill Clinton sign the North American Free Trade Agreement.Several Local factories relocated to Mexico a few months later.Taking hundreds of local jobs as well.

The signers and backers of the 2000 Commodity Futures Modernization Act are the true culprits: Both parties are culpable… From today’s Providence Journal, Froma Harrop writes: “It’s happened before. The Panic of 1907 was fed by “bucket shops,†where people took derivative interests — that is, made bets on a security, commodity or whatever without actually buying or selling it. New York State outlawed bucket shops in 1909, and other states followed suit. The 2000 Commodity Futures Modernization Act revived the bucket-shop bet. It was a rider attached to an 11,000-page appropriations bill hours before Congress planned to leave for Christmas recess. Page 262 forbade states to ban or regulate financial derivatives. The Republican Congress passed the legislation, and Democratic President Bill Clinton signed it. Whatever Alan Greenspan wanted he got, which was capitalism unlocked from its regulatory chains†For the full article: http://www.projo.com/opinion/columnists/content/CL_harrop30_10-30-08_PUC2RMF_v14.3e2fd41.html So, Bush's advisors could have seen the flaw but it would be a far reach to blame him outright. Greenspan, the Repub Congress, and Bill Clinton deserve the most blame.

Why blame Bush? Because when he took office, the debt was around 5 trillion. When he leaves office the debt will be over 10 trillion. In his first 6 years, when the repubs controlled everything, Bush failed to veto a single solitary spending bill proposed by the republican controlled congress. His lie of a war has cost us over 700 billion dollars, and the depletion of our military and the blood of our soldiers. Many experts predict the Iraq war will cost America 2-3 trillion dollars!!! We have over 40,000 wounded soldiers who will need care the rest of their lifes, and this money has to come from the taxpayer. Bush has spent more money than all other presidents combined!! That enough reason for you? Besides the buck stops at that desk in the Oval Office!
